Scope of the Special Issue

The Special Issue aims to address the combined effect of anthropogenic and climatic threats as drivers of vegetation dynamics in a changing world.

We welcome cutting-edge research on Alpine vegetation with a focus on plant communities, their structure, biodiversity, spatial or temporal patterns and processes.

Submissions are encouraged to include novel conceptual and methodological frameworks, including experimental approaches and ecological predictions, to respond to key questions in community ecology.

Submitted manuscripts must be in line with the scope of the Journal of Vegetation Science, i.e. focus on plant community ecology or the macroecology of vegetation.

Please send a preliminary abstract of your article in the JVS format to jvsalpine@gmail.com. The Guest Editors will evaluate the abstracts and invite selected abstracts to be developed into manuscripts and submitted to this Special Issue. All submitted manuscripts will be peer-reviewed, and their acceptance will depend on the results of the peer-review procedure.
