The post provided by Idoia Biurrun (Chief Editor of Palaearctic Grasslands)
This post refers to the new issue 58-59 of Palaearctic Grasslands, which you can read here.
This new issue comes with several announcements and reports about EDGG events and publications, including a detailed report of the successful Eurasian Grassland Conference held in September 2023 in Hungary, announcements on three promising Talk Grasslands next winter, and first calls for the Field Workshop and Eurasian Grassland Conference in 2024. Both will take place in the Alps, the Field Workshop in the South-Western Alps (Aosta, Susa and Durance alleys) at the beginning of June, and the EGC in South Tyrol (Bolzano) at the end of August. Complete calls and registration for both events will come in the next issues.
As usual, this issue is also nicely illustrated with a lot of nice photos related to these events, as well as an appealing Photo Story about the Hailuoto island in Finland. And, last but not least, the winners of the photo competition on the colour blue in grasslands. The three pages of this issue dedicated to the three best shots bring us vivid blue images.
I wish you enjoy the coming holidays and a good entrance in 2024, hopefully bringing us peace and many good moments in nature.
