The post provided by Idoia Biurrun (Chief Editor of Palaearctic Grasslands)
The new issue of Palaearctic Grasslands, EDGG’s scientific journal and magazine is out, and you can read the complete issue here. It contains 38 pages full of nice photos, many of them included in appealing photo stories and glimpses of grasslands. Three of these photos are the best shots on “Spirit of grasslands”, the topic of our last Photo Competition. PG50 also announces the next Photo Competition “Grassland birds”. You are invited to send your photos (up to three) of birds enlivening grassland ecosystems with their songs and colours.
PG50 also contains interesting book reviews, news and announcements. We would like to highlight the first call of the Asian Grassland Conference (AGC), which will be held virtually from 22 to 24 February 2022. The call invites researchers from all over the world to present or listen to studies on the flora, fauna, biodiversity, ecology, management and conservation of the vast and diverse Asian grasslands. Participation will be free of charge, and the registration and abstract submission will be launched in autumn 2021 with the Second Call.
